TOM: online talk
A talk betweenJorge Silva, Cláudia Albino and Alejandra Jaña on the creation of souvenirs for a sustainable tourism, within the exhibition 'TOM — todo o desenho possível'.
Designers Maria Ruivo, Raquel Pais / À Capucha! and Alejandra Jaña — inspired by the wooden dolls created by Thomaz de Mello, between the 30's and 70's of the 20th century — are developing a collection of articulated tin foil puppets, produced in collaboration with João Armada, a tinsmith craftsman.
In a talk with Jorge Silva — curator of the exhibition TOM, todo o desenho possível, now on display at Casa do Design —, the designer Alejandra Jaña and the professor and researcher Cláudia Albino, will discuss the role that design nowadays plays in the creation of souvenirs that represent the country identity symbols, whether material or immaterial, for a global space.
